In your role as Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing technical support and resolving customer issues as quickly and awesomely as possible.

The position reports to one of our Engineering Leads. 

 

You will be part of an agile and self organizing development team. On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Solve customer technical requests and support tickets related to our application issues across different environments.
  • Be part of the Engineering Team and work closely together with Presales and Customer Success
  • Follow our procedures to escalate unresolved issues to other internal teams
  • Troubleshoot issues with our platform for our customers globally
  • Use, improve and come up with suggestions for new tools to optimize your own and operational workflows
  • Work in an environment with advanced network and cloud technologies
  • Investigate and report on irregularities in collaboration with engineering and other teams to help developing our product and processes
  • Contribute to knowledge base to create visibility around common technical issues with the product
  • Take part in scaling up our operations team globally

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Great teammate, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience with common operational tools (e.g. terminal)
  • Basic understanding of scripting
  • Basic network knowledge 
  • Basic knowledge of cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Docker / Containers, Google Cloud)
  • Experience with SQL database queries 
  • Experience interacting with APIs and troubleshooting related requests
  • Ability to dig for the root cause
  • Customer oriented attitude, keen attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative, manage and effectively prioritize
  • Positive attitude with a strong sense of curiosity, passion for learning and collaboration
  • Fluent in English with excellent grammar skills

Our transparent application process

  1. Submit your application. Follow the steps to complete the online application.
  2. Introduction Call. Once your application has passed an internal review, you’ll be invited to an introduction call with our People team. 
  3. Technical Interviews: The goal of the first technical interview is to get a first impression of you and your technical skills. It is also a chance for you to meet our engineers and your potential work colleagues. You may then be invited to take up the next tech challenge.
  4. Meet Locatee. We have a (virtual) coffee break together where we invite the wider Locatee. This is a great and informal way to also meet Locatee employees from other departments.
  5. Decision. You’ll always hear back from us – we manually review and respond to every candidate’s application. If the hiring committee has agreed to hire you, you’ll receive an official offer to join our team.
  6. Onboarding and mentorship. When joining Locatee, you will get your notebook of choice (MacBook or Thinkpad). In the first weeks you will join all the newjoiner sessions to learn everything you need to start at Locatee. You’ll also be paired with a mentor who makes the start at Locatee as nice as possible.
